My wife Anne is originally from Ontario. We have four daughters.
Alll work or are furthering their education in the Fredericton
area. We also are proud grandparents to two "little"
ones.
My parents are long time "northsiders" Harold (Bud)
and Jeanne O'Brien.
I have one sister and three brothers. One lives elsewhere
in New Brunswick, while the others are in Nova Scotia, Ontario
and British Columbia.

I attended Park
Street and Nashwaaksis
Memorial Elementary Schools, Devon
Junior High and Fredericton
High School. The University
of New Brunswick later beckoned from where I graduated
with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
My engineering career began with General Motors Canada in
Saint Catharine's, Ontario. I then moved to Ottawa, Ontario
to take a position as an "automotive lobbyist".
My next career move was to a consulting engineering firm in
Ottawa.
Like all good Maritimers the pull of the sea eventually lured
me home. In the mid-1980's my young family moved to Black's
Harbour (NB) where I took a position with Connors Bros. Ltd.
In the late 1980's I returned to Fredericton to work with
the New Brunswick Liquor Corporation. My present responsibilities
are as the Vice President, Supply Chain & Facilities.

Following is a selective list of some "key" groups
and activities (there are many more) that have occupied my
energies and interest over the years:

hosted and won the Canadian Junior baseball championships
beating British Columbia 4-3 in the final.

residents, formed the inaugural "Friends of Leo
Hayes High School" whose purpose was to promote and
raise funds for extra curricular activities

columnist for the Northside News; my column "Hear &
